JEMM Construction ranks #1 for Emerging Company at the 2015 Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50

JEMM Construction ranked as the No. 1 Emerging Company when this year’s Lake-Geauga Fast Track 50 winners were announced during a dinner and awards program Nov. 5 at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites LaMalfa in Mentor.

About 360 people attended the 2015 Fast Track 50 gala. In its 23rd year, the Fast Track 50 honors the fastest growing companies in Lake and Geauga counties based on a weighted average of 80 percent sales growth and 20 percent employment growth over the previous five-year period. To more fairly compare larger and smaller companies, the Fast Track 50 is divided into Established and Emerging categories.

Established Companies reported revenue of at least $2.75 million in 2010, the baseline year for all evaluations. Emerging companies reported 2010 sales of between $250,000 and $2.75 million. There are 25 companies on each list.

Seven of the 50 spots on this year’s Fast Track 50 roster were occupied by construction and building contractors, with Jackson Taylor Contractors and JEMM Construction leading the way.

In the 2015 Emerging Category, JEMM Construction vaulted to first place after finishing third in the same group last year. JEMM, which is based in Painesville Township, specializes in building new homes and residential remodeling projects.
